Project Coordinator – Document & Business Center

Overview

The Dela Vega City Benevolent Society (DVCBS) is establishing a new Document and Business Center to provide printing, copying, internet access, and business support services to the community. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Project Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations, deliver excellent customer service, and support the growth of this new initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the Document and Business Center, including printing, photocopying, scanning, and internet services.

  • Assist residents, students, and businesses with document preparation and digital services.

  • Monitor and maintain equipment, supplies, and software to ensure smooth service delivery.

  • Provide basic technical support for computer and internet use.

  • Keep accurate records of services provided and prepare simple progress reports.

  • Promote the Center’s services within the community and support outreach activities.

  • Work closely with DVCBS leadership to implement new services and community training programs.

  • Ensure a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, internet research, and email communication.

  • Ability to use printers, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A customer-service mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.

Team/Block Leader – Henderson, Garvey, Rodney, and Spanish Blocks

Overview

The Dela Vega City Benevolent Society (DVCBS) is building stronger neighborhoods through active community participation. We are seeking dedicated Block Leaders from Henderson, Garvey, Rodney, and Spanish Blocks to represent residents, coordinate activities, and strengthen unity within their areas. Block Leaders will play a central role in ensuring that each block contributes to and benefits from DVCBS programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the representative voice for your block (Henderson, Garvey, Rodney, or Spanish) within DVCBS initiatives.

  • Mobilize residents for community events, sports days, clean-up projects, and cultural programs.

  • Encourage volunteerism and ensure strong block participation in DVCBS activities.

  • Identify and report local concerns or needs to the DVCBS executive team.

  • Promote block pride, unity, and collaboration among residents.

  • Support youth involvement and mentorship opportunities within the block.

  • Assist in fundraising and outreach campaigns.

Requirements

  • Must be a resident or well-known representative of Henderson, Garvey, Rodney, or Spanish Block.

  • High school education or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to organize residents and resolve minor disputes fairly.

  • Reliable, community-focused, and committed to DVCBS’s mission.

  • Willingness to dedicate time to meetings, outreach, and activities.
